In an effort to better understand the MotorMaster software provided by the U.S. Department of Energy, Dreisilker Electric Motors teamed up with Joliet Junior College to hold a 1-day seminar in July. In attendance were some of Dreisilker's field sales staff members as well as a small group of their customers. The goal was to educate the attendees on the structure of a database so that they would build familiarity with the software prior to being given their completed motor survey data. This would assist them in working with their data as well as maintaining it and using this powerful tool as a part of their motor management program.

What the MotorMaster software provides is a workable database of crucial motors and their characteristics. With all of this information entered, a user can calculate energy costs, payback information, and "repair vs. replace" suggestions. Dreisilker takes it a step further by incorporating it into their Total Motor Management program.
